Graham Chapman was born on January 8, 1941, in Leicester, England, during a German air raid. He studied medicine at the University of Cambridge, where he met fellow Monty Python members John Cleese, Eric Idle, and Michael Palin. After graduating, he worked as a doctor for several years before pursuing a career in comedy.
